Stella McCartney can do no wrong at the moment. Models rocked candy hues, animal prints and huge, star-shaped shades, while eating build-your-own ice-cream sandwiches and drinking cool-as-ice lemonade.

Westrow give back.

 

The Westrow Artistic Team came out in force to support a breast cancer charity event in Leeds.
The team was on hand to style the hair of breast cancer survivors at the Glamour makeover evening, hosted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The women got the chance to walk the catwalk at the Hilton hotel to raise money for the Haven charity in Leeds.

Haven offers support to people who have been affected by breast cancer and raises local awareness.

Steve Rowbottom, creative director of the Westrow artistic team, said: “Lending our services to this year’s Glamour event was a wonderful opportunity for the Westrow Artistic Team to give something back.”

WESTROW’S ON A WINNING STREAK

Westrow hairdressing – which has seven salons across Yorkshire – has been celebrating in style after proving its creative and business brilliance in a whole host of industry awards. Following on from Westrow West Park’s triumphant win at the 2012 L’Oreal Colour Trophy last month, teams from its seven salons have been celebrating again after being shortlisted in a number of categories in some of the industry’s finest awards.

Step forward Marc Westerman and Steve Rowbottom, directors of Westrow in Leeds who, thanks to their business virtuosity, have been shortlisted in the Business Thinker category at Creative HEAD’s 2012 Most Wanted awards on Monday 3 September. The duo were recognised for being seriously savvy salon owners who know how to strategise, revolutionise, manage, and market to achieve unparalleled business success.

Alongside this the Westrow West Park team have been shortlisted in the Best Salon Team category at the same event, for consistently providing excellent

Eboni and Olivia make the ghd Style Squad

 

Eboni Day: Westrow 18 Thornton's Arcade and Olivia Reeve from Westrow Ilkley were successful in their quest to become part of the ghd Style Squad. The 16 strong-team of emerging talent within the industry will be mentored by Lorna Moore one of ghd’s senior educators and will spend time out on the road learning the craft of education as well as working as part of the team at  ghd’s seminars. The ghd style squad will also have the opportunity to work with the team at a number of ghd initiatives including consumer events, industry shows and campaigns.The team will also benefit from training from Zoe Irwin, ghd Creative Director, ambassador and session stylist as well as working with other industry icons and established names.
