Westrow York moves into its new home!
Westrow York – one of seven hairdressing salons the brand has across
Yorkshire – has recently moved to premium premises in the centre of
York. Housed on Swinegate, amongst a whole host of upmarket eateries and
shops, including Mulberry, the 1,000 sq ft premises has been fully
refurbished to meet the high expectations of the business’s discerning
clientele.
Taking inspiration from boutique hotels across the globe, the shop
front boasts a classic design in line with the Westrow brand. Inside,
original beams fuse with American black walnut flooring, while bespoke
mirrors add a luxurious feel and Italian-inspired LED eco-friendly
lighting ensures a perfect, even light throughout. Downstairs is home to
four styling stations, where black, high-gloss granite flooring in the
reception and backwash areas add a touch of luxe. Contemporary and cool,
the salon is striking, yet sympathetic to its surroundings and the City
of York.
The backwash area is separated from the salon with a floor-to-ceiling
frosted, curved glass wall for maximum privacy, and incorporates
relaxing mood lighting to set the tone. A no-talking policy in this area
also ensures a calm, serene environment, allowing clients to unwind
before they head to the buzz of the salon outside.
Contemporary pinstriped carpet adorns the stairway in Westrow’s
corporate colours, leading to the upstairs, which houses seven styling
stations and a separate VIP area that can also cater for colour clients.
This area is perfectly placed for parties, wedding and events.
“We wanted a sharp salon that not only looked good, but that worked
on every level,” says franchisee, Rachel White of the refit. “The aim
was to create a relaxing environment that was both contemporary and
cool. The new salon is housed in a premium area of the city and now the
refurbishment is complete, we can ensure our clients can sit back and
relax, enjoying a wonderful hairdressing experience in a great
location.”
